ABOUT THE RECEDERS

A St. Cloud, Minnesota area rock and roll band made up of four guys who have earned their hair lines. Individually, each one of these veteran musicians have been playing music for nearly 25 years and have the talent to show for it. As a group, The Receders have merged their skills into a tight musical experience that audiences appreciate for their variety of familiar songs and undeniable dance-appeal.

Bill "Crash" Hatling

Drums and Vocals

If you're looking for a drummer who knows how to keep your feet moving, then you've found the right guy! Bill's frenetic energy and steady backbeat is a big reason The Receders are one of Minnesota's favorite dance bands!

Pete "Doc Rock" Nelson

Guitar and Vocals

In addtion to being an extremely skilled guitarist, Pete also acts as the band's main vocal arranger. Pete plays a major role in creating The Receders signature sound by keeping the harmonies tight and true to the music.

Jeff Lee

Keyboards, Harmonica and Vocals

As a professional musician, Jeff toured worldwide throughout the entire decade of the 80s. If you like rockin' harp solos and full, rich keyboards, then Jeff is your man!

John Kirchner

Bass Guitar and Vocals

John, the newest member of The Receders, has the experience, talent and hairline to qualify him to be a member. We are thrilled to have John on board and are deeply impressed with his way around a bass guitar. John has the chops to keep the band moving and the people dancing!

The Receders would like to thank Mike for all his years of excellent musicianship and for being such an important and positive influence on the band. Mike's job has taken him to Nashville where he now regularly mixes with the big boys. We hope he can manage to find a band as good as The Receders to perform with out there.
